ARTIST & MAKER FAQ

  • We are looking for thoughtfully handcrafted, hand-designed, or creatively curated/altered work produced in small batches. We value originality, creativity, and unique perspectives. Your work should showcase innovative techniques and distinctive styles that set it apart. Mass-produced, commercially-made, or resold items will not be accepted.

  • Our team reviews all artist and maker submissions based on the following criteria:

    • Originality: We seek thoughtfully handcrafted, hand-designed, or creatively curated/altered work produced in small batches.

    • Creativity: We value unique perspectives, innovative techniques, and distinctive styles that set your work apart and highlight your creative vision.

    • Local: To support our local creative community, all vendors must be based within 50 miles of Wyandotte County, KCK.

    • Photos: High-quality photos are required to clearly showcase your work, its details, and how it will be displayed at the event.

    • Family-Friendly: All artwork must be suitable for all audiences. Items with offensive language, imagery, or themes will not be accepted.

  • Yes! Live art demonstrations and interactive workshops are highly encouraged and are a great way to engage Art Walk attendees! Please let us know in advance if you plan to offer either of these so we can coordinate accordingly.

  • Absolutely! First-time artists and makers are strongly encouraged to apply. If accepted, you'll have access to our monthly workshops and office hours for guidance and support as you prepare for the event.

  • No, food or snacks made at home may not be sold or given away at the event unless you are a licensed food vendor. All food vendors must comply with health and safety regulations, including obtaining the proper permits and inspections from the local health department. For information on becoming a licensed food vendor, please refer to our food vendor guidelines.
