Attendees are responsible for purchasing their own food and drinks directly from vendors. The event organizer does not cover any costs or guarantee sales.

We typically see 1,000 to 1,500 guests per event, with peak attendance between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM.

Each block will have one food truck, one drink vendor, and one dessert vendor. We will also have up to two vendors offering other food or drink items, such as snacks or baked goods.
With four blocks total, you can expect up to 12 food and drink vendors at the event. This number may vary depending on availability.

Yes, food and drink vendors must comply with state and local health and safety regulations:
Food Permit or Commercial Kitchen Confirmation: Vendors (unless selling cottage foods) must provide either a valid food permit or proof that food is prepared in a licensed commercial kitchen, such as a kitchen rental receipt or certification.
State Health Inspection: Vendors operating more than six days a year must have a Kansas Department of Agriculture Health inspection, as required by state law.
Fire Inspection: Kansas City, Kansas, requires all mobile food vendors (operating in a vehicle or trailer) to pass a safety and fire code inspection. Vendors can submit documentation from another Heart of America Fire Chiefs Association member or display a valid mobile food inspection sticker.
Insurance Requirement: All food and drink vendors (unless selling cottage foods) must provide a certificate of insurance.

Trash & Recycling: Vendors are responsible for disposing of waste in designated bins and separating recyclables. Any waste left behind after 9:00 PM is the vendor’s responsibility. Leaving trash in the street may result in disqualification from future events.
Grease/Oil Disposal: Dumping grease, oil, or food waste in festival trash bins, drains, or on the ground is strictly prohibited. Vendors must dispose of grease and oil off-site. Non-compliance may lead to removal from future events.

We are unable to provide electricity or water for vendors. You will need to supply your own.

No, food and drink vendors are not permitted to sell alcoholic beverages from their booths or trucks within the street closure. Alcohol can only be served in designated areas where attendees must consume it.
